A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We try the dry pan mee + smoking hot chili. The dry pan mee is not bad but slightly on the sweet side. What I like the most is their chili it’s super spicy, nice."
"will be my fav spot for pan mee! fast service, warmth greet from the uncle, yummy taste with affordable price. Unfortunately, limited space for dine in, maybe you need to wait for your turns but usually didn’t take so long."
"A neighbourhood hainanese food shop at the ttdi wet market. They serve awesome chili pan mee. Probably better than the famous one out there. Chili are fresh and really spicy. Can warm the stomach up even after few hours haha. Lovely noodle and muhibbah environment. Owner are super friendly too. I enjoy their hainanese tea. Will come for more next round."
"After hearing so much about their famous dry pan mee, I've wanted to visit for a while. It was pure luck that I landed a job in the area and was finally able to try it. I was so happy I did! The pan mee was cooked to a perfect tenderness, and the sauce and ingredients combined to create a rich and delicious flavor. I genuinely loved everything about this meal and can see why they are so popular. This will definitely become a regular lunch spot for me."
"Small shop inside the Taman Tun market, famous for their chilli pan mee. Went there on a weekday mid morning. 1 small pan mee rm9. Teh o ais rm3. The chilli pan mee was good but they use the ramen type noodle though. Great for a quick eat and go!"
"The pan mee really caught my attention and not usually a fan, but this one was surprisingly creamy and enjoyable Ended up ordering another dish for takeaway. The curry laksa was just okay, around 5/10 for me. Coffee though? Big kick, strong and satisfying Overall, a decent kopitiam spot"
"Hands down the best pan mee I’ve ever had huhu there’s no turning back after discovering this spot. I’ve been coming here religiously for the past 2 years, all thanks to their incredibly addictive dry chilli pan mee. The texture of the noodles, paired with a perfectly runny poached egg, savory minced chicken, crispy anchovies, and that punchy chilli astaga it’s just unforgettable. Just that, service can be very slow. I once waited 40 minutes just to place an order on a busy day. But honestly, the food is so good I didn’t even mind the wait. Their Nyonya curry laksa is also worth a mention hehe rich, flavorful, and comforting. I’ve been bringing different group of friends to share the food with over time. I guess this kopitiam has become like one of the attractions in ttdi."
"Hidden on the second floor of the central market in TTDI, you’ll find this well-known halal-style chilli pan mee spot. The prices are reasonable — RM9 for the regular chilli pan mee, RM9 for dried wantan mee, RM12 for Japanese katsu chicken rice, and RM16 for Hainanese chicken chop. The chilli pan mee definitely lives up to its reputation. Once mixed, it’s aromatic, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The noodles are al dente, with a great texture that ties everything together beautifully. The wantan mee, on the other hand, wasn’t to my liking. Halal versions tend to lack the aroma of pork lard, and the minced chicken with the sauce just didn’t harmonize — it felt like each element was playing its own tune. Some noodles were also clumped together. I was a bit surprised when my Japanese katsu chicken rice arrived — the staff confirmed it was indeed the Friday-only special, but sadly, it was quite lacklustre. Average at best, nothing memorable. The Hainanese chicken chop also failed to stand out. It lacked the signature Hainanese sauce and oddly came with a piece of toast. The portion was decent, seasoning was fine, and there was even a fried egg hidden underneath — a small plus point. The environment can get quite warm, and it’s usually crowded during lunch hours. Parking is also a challenge. Service-wise, it was below par — one of the staff accidentally spilled soup on me twice while cleaning. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re craving halal chilli pan mee, but I wouldn’t go out of my way just for it."
